Chai Spiced Banana Bread

Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- ½ cup ground flax seeds
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup full fat Greek yogurt
- ¼ cup melted, cooled butter
- 1 cup date syrup (silan), maple syrup or honey
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 Tbsp Chai spice blend
- ¼ teaspoon Chili powder
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 F.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, flax seed meal, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, yogurt, butter, date or other syrup, vanilla and the spices. Add the wet to the dry ingredients and whisk until combined without overmixing.
- Add the batter to a greased loaf pan. Bake for 60 minutes. Allow it to cool enough to handle, transfer to a plate, slice and enjoy!
