When you make chicken every week you need to think of some new flavor combinations or else you get some funny faces from your family members!  I love using silan as the fruity sweetness of the dates pairs great with the nutty, sour and savory flavors of the za'atar.

Silan & Za'atar Roasted Chicken

Ingredients

  • 8 chicken thighs (or legs), skin on
  • 1/4 cup silan
  • 2 tablespoons za'atar
  • Salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic slices
  • Olive oil

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Toss the chicken thigh with the silan, za'atar, garlic, some olive oil and salt. Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper or in a roasting pan.
  3. Bake for about 35 minutes till the chicken is fully cooked and enjoy!
