This is an updated take on one of my favorite childhood snacks. Half an avocado, shoyu, mayonnaise, a sprinkling of our Yagenbori blend, and fresh lemon juice. It's a great base for other treats also!

Japanese Avocado

Ingredients

  • Half of a ripe Haas avocado*
  • 1-2 tsp tamari or soy sauce
  • 1/2-1 tsp Kewpie Japanese mayo (optional)
  • Squeeze of fresh lemon juice
  • Yagenbori

Directions

  1. Add the ingredients to the avocado in the order listed above. Eat with a spoon. 
  2. Leave the pit in the other half and rub it with a bit of lemon so it doesn't brown. Wrap tightly and store in the fridge on a higher shelf where it will keep for about 2 days.
