Also known as Piment d'Espelette, our Espelette Chili is AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée or Controlled Designation of Origin). This French certification is used to classify a product whose authenticity and originality come from its geographical origin and produced to rigorous classical standards to preserve quality and tradition. It is the highest level of designation.
