THE BASIC PROPORTION
OUR MOST RECENT MIX
FOR THE SEASONING
Directions
Preheat the oven to 250°F.
Toss all of the dry ingredients together in a large bowl with the melted butter, Worcestershire (or maple syrup) and half of the spice blend. If your bowl isn’t big enough to toss everything to mix well, season the mix in 2 batches and pour onto parchment lined rimmed baking sheets. You will need 2 half sheet trays to bake the full batch.
When everything is well mixed, separate the mix evenly between the trays and evenly sprinkle the remaining spice blend on top. If using salt, sprinkle the salt evenly over the top now as well.
Bake at 250°F, stirring every 15 minutes, until the mixture is crisp and golden brown (45-60 minutes).
Leave to cool completely, the mixture gets even crispier as it cools.
Serve or store at room temperature in a sealed container.

Variations and Ideas
In place of butter, you could substitute olive oil to make this dairy-free, just make sure your snack ingredients are dairy-free as well.
In place of Worcestershire you could substitute soy sauce or tamari.
There are many mix-ins we didn’t use, to keep things simple, but go crazy with all the favorites - Bugles, mini bread sticks, pita chips, Cheezits, M&M’s, all gluten-free snacks, yogurt covered raisins, freeze dried mushrooms, etc.
For spices, the possibilities are endless – we could have done a snack mix for each and every one – Shabazi and Bugles, Amber with Cheez-Its, Ararat and pita chips, go for it and share your favorites with us.
