Sofrico Spiced Beef Meatballs & Cinnamon Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef (I used short rib)
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
- Sofrico spice
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Olive oil
- 1 (28 ounce) can peeled diced tomatoes
- Vietnamese cinnamon
Directions
- In a bowl combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, egg and season with some Sofrico spice, salt and ground pepper. Shape about 15 meatballs and set aside.
- Heat some olive oil in a pan and cook the meatballs on all sides for about 5 minutes, until nicely browned.
- Remove them from the pan and pour the tomatoes into the pan.
- Bring to a simmer and season with salt and Vietnamese cinnamon. Add the meatballs into the tomato sauce and simmer over low heat, turning the meatballs every few minutes for about 25 minutes.
