Who knew there was such a wonderful thing as smoked maple syrup. My favorite way to cook, and eat, veggies is to roast them. Putting the smoked maple syrup on them as they roast, just puts the dish over the top. Sweet, smoky, and caramelized. Works well on any vegetable. My fave!
I use maple syrup a a preferred healthy choice instead of sugars. The addition of the smoked cinnamon flavor is really so amazing in adding layers to steamed carrots with ghee or sliced bananas. It marries well with unexpected mains like fish or soups. I buy two at a time for fear it will be sold out and a little goes a very long way.
